Please help me welcome Jackie North to the Author Spotlight Stage! Jackie comes to us from Colorado.
(If you have an author of LGBTQIA romance you’d like to see spotlighted, share THIS form with them.)
Describe your books/your writing for the readers.
On the sweet side, slow burn, cowboys, angst, fish out of water, guaranteed HEA.
What is something that makes you unique (personally or within your writing)?
People have said that they feel like they’ve come home when they read my books – that or the location in my books makes them feel like they want to go there!
Tell us about your writing process. Where do your ideas come from? Do you plan/plot or totally wing it?
I’m a plotter. I create characters, often opposites attract, and then put them in a situation where they have to work together.

When I got a “great job” on a short story in the fourth grade.
What is your favorite childhood book?

What is one of the best feelings in the world?

If animals could talk, which would be the rudest?
Cats! (But I love cats!)
What’s a sound you absolutely love?
Rain on the sidewalk/rooftop! Thunder, also.
Favorite snack while writing?
No snacks. It just gets in the keyboard!
Favorite drink when writing?
Freshly brewed iced tea, no sugar.
Favorite scent?
Lavender, lavender, lavender.
If someone is new to your writing, which book would you suggest they start with?
