Author Spotlight – L Eveland

Please help me welcome L Eveland to the LGBTQIA Author Spotlight. L joins us from Cryptid Country West Virginia.

What can readers expect from your books?
I write MM romance where the stories are dark and bloody, but the romances are wholesome and consent-focused.

Do you have a tagline? Please share it.
Love shines brightest in the dark.

What do you think of garden gnomes?
I know they come alive when you’re not looking. Sneaky little freaks. I’m also convinced they can breed since there always seems to be more of them popping up without an explanation.

A chicken walks through the door right now wearing a top hat. What does he say, and why is he here?
“My good human, have you any Grey Poupon?” He also seems rather confused by my concern, but I guess he hasn’t realized he’s being stalked by my cats yet.

Which animal is most likely to take over the world?
Cats already have. We just haven’t realized it yet.

If a genie offered you three writing wishes, what would they be? Btw if you wish for more wishes the genie turns all your current WIPs into Lorem Ipsum, I don’t make the rules.
1. For someone to make fan art of my characters. (I would cry.) 2. To be able to double my writing speed without sacrificing any quality. 3. Three drinks on my desk at all times that never go empty: ice cold Diet Pepsi, a caramel latte, and ice water with lemon

What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting?
Times New Roman, 12 pt

If you had to write an entire story without either action or dialogue, which would you choose and how would it go?
I would rather write without dialogue. I would, of course, find a way around that by including telepathy because I like breaking rules.

Which of your books do you wish every reader would pick up and read?
The Silent Prince because I adore the world it takes place in.
